Lorianne Rotz
Principal
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. Florida state-certified in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and Educational Leadership. Taught in Orange County schools for 5 years, certified ESOL, trained in Reading Recover/Student Success, taught Academic Support grades 1-4 at St. Margaret Mary, was Assistant Principal at St. Margaret Mary for 8 years, and serves on several Diocesan committees. Mrs. Rotz is a graduate of St. Mary Magdalen school.
  Milagros Morales
Assistant Principal

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Pace University in NYC and Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.  Florida state-certified in Elementary Education (grades 1 – 6) and a Certification as a Master Catechist. Taught second grade for two years in NYC public schools. Joined the Diocese of Orlando in 1996, as a first grade teacher, and was their grade team-leader for 17 years, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School.



     
Anne Lyden 
School Counselor
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of Central Florida.  Certified in Elementary Education (grades 1 – 6) and in Guidance and Counseling Services (grades K – 12). Taught second grade at St. Charles Catholic School for 1½ years. Joined St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in 1986 teaching third and fourth grades for eleven years. Currently is serving as School Counselor.
   
     
Peggy Beleckas
Kindergarten
Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Florida State University, Master of Arts in Elementary Education from University of Central Florida.  Certified in Elementary Education (K-6).  Joined St. Mary Magdalen School as teacher in 2007.
  Maureen Parks  
Kindergarten
Bachelor of Arts from University of Central Florida, with Early Childhood Studies at Rollins College.  Certified to teach grades K-6.  A member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish since 1960 and teaching at SMM School since 1983.
     
Amanda Hagaman 
Grade 1
Masters of Education degree, with a specialization in Literacy, from the University of Florida. ESOL endorsed and Florida certification in the areas of Prekindergarten/Primary (Age 3 - Grade 3) and Elementary Education (K-6). Joined St. Mary Magdalen School as a teacher in 2010. Originally from St. Augustine, FL where she attended Catholic school from pre-school through 12th grade.

Bachelor of Science Business Management from the University of West. Florida. Teacher assistant for five years and then taught First Grade for ten years in Catholic Schools in Pensacola, Florida. Certified in Elementary Education.

Grade 2
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Technology from the University of Florida. Florida certification in Grades K-6. Began teaching at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in 2012.
     
Cathy Larkin
Grade 3
Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Eckerd College and a Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education from Rollins College.  Certified by the Florida Department of Education in Elementary Education Grades 1-5, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum Grades 6-9, and English Grades 9-12.  Ten years of teaching experience in Orange and Seminole counties.  Currently teaching Grade 3 at SMMCS.
  Faith Parker
Grade 3
Bachelor of Arts in Education from UCF majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education.  Masters of Arts in Education from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.  Master Catechist certification.  Certified to teach early childhood ages 3-5 and grades K-6.  Over 25 years of teaching experience in the classroom at various age levels.  Experience as a children’s library program coordinator, Girl Scout leader and CCD instructor.  Currently teaching 3rd grade at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School.

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from University of E. Connecticut. Certified to teach grades K-6. Teaching fourth grade at SMM since 2003. Taught at Sylvan for three years as a reading and math specialist

Bachelor of Science from Florida State University. Florida Certified K-6. Attended SMM from 1st-7th grade. Joined St. Mary Magdalen staff in 2012.

     
Maureen Copeland
Grade 5
Teacher of Grade 5 Religion, Mathematics and Science. Has worked in the Diocese of Orlando for entire teaching career: two years as a fifth grade teacher at St. Joseph’s in Lakeland and 27 years at St. Mary Magdalen School. Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Certified in Elementary Education (grades 1-6). Joined St. Mary Magdalen staff in 1981.

Bachelors of Arts degrees in Spanish Literature and Linguistics and in History from the University of Central Florida.  Master of Arts in Teaching Foreign Languages from the University of South Florida.  Florida Certified in Spanish K-12 and ESOL endorsed.  Member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.  Taught face to face Spanish 1 and 2 at USF from 2007 to 2009 and taught Online Spanish 1 and 2 from 2009 to 2010.  Began teaching Spanish from grades 1 through 8 at St. Mary Magdalen in the 2010-2011 school year.

Certified in Elementary Education 1-6 and Reading K-12.  Worked in Seminole County for 11 years.  Joined St. Mary Magdalen faculty in 2000.

Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Auburn University. Qualified by the Florida Catholic Conference Standard to teach technology integration. School technology coordinator and technology instructor to grades K-8. Joined the staff of St Mary Magdalen School in 1995.
     
Deborah Gordon
Gifted Teacher
Bachelor of Arts Degree Psychology/Special Education from The College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, NY.  Graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Florida certification in Gifted Education, Masters certificate in teaching writing, K-12, University of Central Florida.  Published seven articles for Religion Teachers Journal, member of the Florida Association of the Gifted (FLAG) and the National Association of Gifted (NAGC).  Parish Religion Teacher grades 3-12 for 19 years.  Taught seven years at St. Mary Magdalen School as Teacher of Gifted grades 3-8.  
  Christine Gardner
Media Specialist
Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from University of Florida.  Certified English teacher grades 5-9 and certified Media Specialist grades K-12.  Teaching since 1990. Joined SMMCS faculty in August 2006 as school media specialist.
     
Candace Travis
Music
Bachelor of Music from Florida International University in piano performance; Master of Music from Westminster Choir College in organ performance; Master of Arts in music education from University of Central Florida.  A member of the Central Florida Orff association.  Certified through level 3 in Orff Schulwerk from the University of South Florida.  Member of the American guild of organists, certified through college level.  Served as a children’s choir director at several parishes in Florida and New Jersey.  Florida state certified in music for grades K-12.  Music teacher for K-8; church musician for grades K-8 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School since 1999.

Honours Philosophy Degree from the University of Windsor, Ontario Canada. Master of Science in Social Research from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Certified teacher in Business (6-12), Social Science (6-12), ESE-SLD (K-12).
     
Larissa Ehresman
Physical Education
Graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Physical Education and certified in PE for grades K-12. Taught PE and dance for six years in New York City, and developed a competitive dance and performance dance program. Joined St. Mary Magdalen for the 2013/2014 school year.

Physical Education
Graduate of the University of Sagrado Corazon in San Juan, Puerto Rico. CDA for Early Childhood Development. Cheerleading coach, teacher of K-2 Spanish cultural program. Varsity volleyball coach.  Chairman of the Community Fest Parade for 15 years.  Over 17 years working at Saint Mary Magdalen.
     
Terry Bouchard
Art
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida. Work experience includes Landscape Architecture design and Special Event planning at Walt Disney World. Art Instructor to grades K-5.  Joined St. Mary Magdalen parish community in 1997 and has been actively involved with St. Mary Magdalen School in a volunteer capacity. Joined the St. Mary Magdalen teaching staff in the school year 2013-2014.
